Lavazza returned for its eighth year as presenting sponsor, debuting Nuvola in celebration of 130 years.
Lavazza proudly celebrated its eighth year of sponsorship with ICFF as the presenting partner of the Lavazza IncluCity Festival. The 2025 edition ran from June 27 through July 20 and delivered another show-stopping season in Toronto’s vibrant Distillery Historic District, featuring an unmissable lineup of events, screenings, concerts, panel discussions, and more - all paired with everyone’s favourite aperitivo and espresso tasting experiences on the iconic festival couches.
Guests were invited to savour a cup of Lavazza at Piazza Lavazza before heading over to a special photo moment with a postcard keepsake. It was another unforgettable festival season - a continued celebration of culture, creativity, and the moments that bring us together.
Each day of the festival was thoughtfully curated, offering a unique experience filled with diverse communities, special guests, global cuisines, and unforgettable entertainment - collectively creating a heartfelt love letter to multicultural cinema, music, and storytelling.
This collaboration has always represented something far greater than a sponsorship. It reflects a shared belief in the power of culture to bring people together, to inspire, and to create lasting moments.
At Lavazza, coffee is a catalyst for connection and creativity - and our ongoing partnership with ICFF is rooted in that belief. When people come together through art and storytelling, something meaningful happens. That spirit came to life at IncluCity. Whether it was the warmth of a shared espresso under the stars or a conversation sparked after a powerful film, the festival reflected our commitment to creating experiences that leave a mark.
Among the many highlights of this year’s festival was the world premiere of Nuvola - a feature-length documentary that tells the story of Lavazza’s iconic Turin headquarters, unveiled in celebration of our 130th anniversary.
Directed by Luca Caon with creative direction by Francesca Molteni and narrated by architect Cino Zucchi, the film explores how Lavazza reimagined a once-abandoned industrial zone in the Aurora district in Turin into a vibrant hub for innovation, sustainability, and cultural exchange.
Structured in eight cinematic chapters, the documentary moves through Nuvola’s core spaces, from Headquarter Offices, to a Michelin-starred restaurant, design-forward bistro, corporate Lavazza Museum, and open piazza with the garden, interweaving stories from chefs, designers, residents, and community partners to paint an intimate, human-centred portrait of place and purpose.
“Spending a year inside Nuvola allowed me to explore a place where the company’s values are genuinely lived and shared with the surrounding community. The spaces became the true protagonists of the film - interacting with people, light, and the city in constantly evolving ways. From employees to local residents, each encounter reveals Nuvola as both a cultural and architectural landmark,” said Francesca Molteni, Creative Director.
Beginning in a small shop in Turin in 1895, Lavazza has grown over 130 years into a Global Group operating in more than 140 countries. Nuvola Lavazza is much more than an office space - it is a hub of wellbeing and smart working for over 800 people and a space open to the surrounding community. It reflects Lavazza’s deep connection to its founding values while embracing innovation and a forward-looking approach.
“We’re very proud to have premiered the Nuvola docufilm at this year’s IncluCity Festival - an event that perfectly reflects Lavazza’s commitment to culture and creativity, and one we have proudly sponsored for eight years. Nuvola is more than a building; it’s an icon embodying 130 years of Lavazza’s values and vision,” said Daniele Foti, Marketing VP of Lavazza North America. “It serves as a gateway to the world - connecting Lavazza people across all countries from a physical place that symbolizes and fosters collaboration, innovation, and openness. Unveiling this film in Canada, one of our key markets, marks a meaningful milestone that reinforces our ongoing commitment to inspiring communities worldwide through a powerful social architecture.”
While the film will become available to international audiences in 2026, festivalgoers at Lavazza IncluCity Festival had the exclusive opportunity to experience Nuvola on the big screen ahead of its global release - a fitting moment of celebration during a milestone year.
