Lavazza's industrial system is split up into five plants: three in Italy, one in Brazil and one in India. The products of Italian plants are intended for the international market, while those of foreign plants for the local markets.
In the world
The first historical plant
Roasting and packaging of grain and ground products (roast & ground). Turin is one of the largest and most modern plants in the world for coffee roasting and production. Each phase of the process is automated and controlled by a computer system.
The home of automatic distribution
The capsules for Lavazza BLUE and Lavazza Espresso Point systems are made in Gattinara. The company recently undertook a major investment in order to improve its production operations and bring the plant's technology up to date.
From Italy, the DEK for the whole world
Established in 1991, the Pozzilli plant is exclusively dedicated to green coffee decaffeination. The decaffeination method is a natural one, as it uses carbon dioxide, a compound present in the air we breathe and the sparkling water we drink.
On the French market with Carte Noire
In 2016, Lavazza integrated the French manufacturing plant in Lavérune, in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, into its own industrial structure. In this way, it placed itself in one of the world’s top five coffee markets, which is now the second in order of importance for the company.
Products for the local vending market
In 2007, Lavazza opened the group’s ninth subsidiary in India. The Indian manufacturing plant in Sri City, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, meets the needs of the local vending market, and also produces coffee for the domestic market.
From Bemposta, coffee for Brazil
In 2008, Lavazza acquired Café Grão Nobre and Café Terra Brasil. The Brazilian roasting manufacturing plant in the resort of Tres Rios, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, serves the local Ho.Re.Ca. channel.
