Lavazza at Care’s

The Care’s project — The Ethical Chef Days project has reached its third edition and Lavazza, which has been a partner from the very first year, has confirmed its participation in 2018 too. Alta Badia: the landscape that has provided inspiration to Michelin-starred chefs and Norbert Niederkofler, the founder of the initiative and Lavazza brand ambassador, who decided to marry his elegant menus with the quality of authentic Italian coffee.

A sustainable coffee

The undisputed star of every high-altitude tasting session was ¡Tierra!, whose blend originates from Rainforest Alliance certified farms in Colombia. Carefully selected beans, roasted in a slow and delicate process; a quality coffee that combines perfectly with the idea of ethical cuisine. During the four-day event, Niederkofler was surrounded by internationally renowned chefs, including the Sicilian Filippo La Mantia, host and cook. In their preparations, the greatest focus was placed on raw materials, micro-producers, and the safeguarding of ancient traditions. Both admirers of Lavazza, they delighted those present with unique aspects of coffee such as the Chemex and the V60, which go beyond the traditional espresso and create an eclectic tasting experience.
