Lavazza Single Origin
Discovery
in a coffee cup

From Turin to the Andes, a journey to the origins of coffee, an intimate and multi-sensory exploration in which food, art and nature are the ingredients that characterize the taste of the Single Origin family.

Selva Alta

A delicate coffee, 100% Arabica from sustainable agriculture, born on the slopes of the Andes Cordillera in Peru. Its uniqueness derives from the land in which it grows, rich in mixed crops of coffee and fruit that enrich this single-origin with light, floral notes.

The Guide
Alex Bellini

Alex Bellini is a modern explorer who knows the taste of discovery. Together with Lavazza, he has travelled to places that have led him to the heart of coffee discovery.

Peru
The origins of coffee

Berries were once consumed when red, mixed with aromatic herbs and water. Now, they are considered to be the black gold of Peru. Along the Selva Central, we find the stops of the Ruta del Café: the area where the main producers and the most important plantations of the country are located.

Brazil
The origins of coffee

Brazil has been the most important coffee producer for over 150 years. The culture of the Carioca coffee also has its roots in the Bel Paese. It was the Italians, in fact, who popularized the drink which had been exclusive to the aristocracy.

Peru

A country with many faces: from the dense forest to the streets of the Andean villages with their distinctive markets full of life and bright colours. The local tribes preserve their traditions, making the journey to this land a timeless one.

From the heights of Sugarloaf Mountain to the warm sands of Copacabana, through the rhythm of the Favelas. Despite everyday difficulties, inhabitants of the city of the Carnival are free to be what they want to be during the festival, momentarily setting their troubles aside.

Paraty
23°13′11″S 44°43′11″W

In Paraty, a town 260 km from Rio de Janeiro, carnival is celebrated by people covering themselves from head to toe with a thick layer of mud collected from a local beach. This custom goes by the name of “Bloco de Lama.”

São Paolo

São Paolo is spread across several levels: concrete, steel and nature meet a social melting pot in which wealth and poverty mingle, giving the city a unique character.
