Elixir of love

by Marino Parisotto

Marino Parisotto

Born to Italian parents in Toronto in 1963. Him and his family returned to Italy and, once settled in Milan, he studied economics and commerce at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. He began managerial work in an advertising agency specializing in fashion and design, where he worked immediately with important companies. His career as a photographer started relatively late, but with unexpected rewards; he portrayed prestigious brands in the fashion world and photographed actors such as Hugh Grant and Eva Mendez.

Parisotto loves natural light and grand spaces such as the deserts and the sea; his photography is focused on action and the force of seduction. His work is romantic, visionary, elegant, and never vulgar. He lives and works between New York, Paris and Milan.

For Calendar number 6, the photographer Marino Parisotto chose the title of Donizetti’s famous work to allude to the different personalities of coffee – passion, romance, drama and poetry. The subjects often emphasize the “masculinity” of the beverage with iconic and statuesque male presences. Marino Parisotto was born as a fashion photographer. His advertising campaigns are characterized by a strong impact style, both romantic and visionary, and tending to show beauty in all its forms.
