Aurora is changing
Nuvola is the name chosen for the redevelopment project that Lavazza is supporting in collaboration with the city of Turin; situated in the Aurora district, the area of the former Enel power plant, which has always been a site of industrial activity, crafts and dwellings.
The Lavazza Corporate Management Centre
A single location for its offices: with the construction of the new corporate management centre, Lavazza brought 600 people, originally in four different city locations, all into the same place.

The historical buildings
Nuvola enhances the industrial heritage of the city of Turin. The current site of the Lavazza Corporate Management Centre was previously home to high-profile Italian companies, including Società Elettrica Alta Italia, Sip and Enel. Lavazza worked with the city to refurbish and reclassify the buildings which had elements of historical and architectural interest.
IAAD – Institute of Applied Art and Design
The reclassification was both material and cultural: the new IAAD HQ has 2,600 m² available for educational activities, exhibitions and conferences.

The Archaeological Site
A historical site: 1,600 m² to preserve and enhance the remains of an early Christian basilica and a necropolis revealed during excavations for the construction of the office building.
